One of the many reasons we see stalled labors, inductions, and many other types of interventions into the labor and birth process is fear. Fear can and does block and stop labor progress.
The American Pregnancy Association reports that 1/3 of all caesarean sections are due to a failure to progress. While some level of fear is normal, high levels of fear can cause us to release stress hormones which cause our bodies to stiffen, tighten, and reduce the levels of oxytocin release necessary for contracting and dilating.
I offer pre-birth counseling sessions and fear release packages to help you work through your fear and approach your birthing time with in a peaceful, calm state.
