"The Minimalist" Birth Doula Package:
Prior to hire we should meet to interview one another. We feel it is very important that we both be comfortable with one another, as we will be spending such an important day and intimate experience. The doula or doula team you hire should make you feel very comfortable! This interview can take place over the phone, via Skype, or in a public location. We will discuss why you are seeking a doula, your expectations, and what type of services you are looking for.
ON CALL/UNLIMITED SUPPORT:
From the date of hire, we are available to you to answer questions and support you via text, email, and phone. Additionally we are on call for you 24/7 from 37 weeks until the time of your birth.
This visit takes place in your home unless otherwise specified around the 34th to 35th week of pregnancy. We will put together a birth plan, discuss how your pregnancy is going, your wishes and desires, practice birth positions, rebozo use, and get to know one another.
LABOR AND DELIVERY:
We will come to your home or to the hospital (whichever you wish) when your contractions become regular and you're ready for our support. We will give you unlimited support throughout your labor and delivery and stay up to two hours after your delivery, depending on your needs.
BACK UP SUPPORT:
A back-up doula will also be on call throughout the on call period in the event of an emergency that prevents me from being at your birth, such as a serious illness, hospitalization, or emergency on the doula’s part.
POSTPARTUM FOLLOW UP
This package does not include a postpartum visit, however your doula will follow up with you via phone within one week of delivery to process your birth and offer additional support and referrals to you.
We are happy to provide you with referrals throughout your pregnancy and in your postpartum period, from acupuncture to lactation counselors and beyond.
Once we are connected, we are willing to always be a support to you in times of need with your infant. We are happy to keep in touch with you, work with you in future births, and provide ongoing referrals.
